Shark & Dolphin Dream Liveaboard

A 7-night Egypt liveaboard exploring the Sataya, Daedalus & Elphinstone route, known for shark encounters, spectacular reefs, and dolphins. We will board the M/Y Topaz in Marsa Alam, a comfortable and modern liveaboard operated by Sea Pirates Egypt.

Certified divers (Advanced Open Water Diver) with a minimum of 30 dives who are excited to connect with other like-minded travelers. You also need to be comfortable with strong currents, and deep dives.

To experience the Red Sea’s most iconic dive sites! Meet incredible marine life, and incredible people. You'll also learn about marine life through marine workshops.

You can expect to see vibrant hard and soft corals, reef fish, moray eels, turtles. If we’re lucky, we might encounter pelagic species such as manta rays, oceanic whitetip sharks, hammerheads, or thresher sharks. At Sataya reef, we'll snorkel with a pod of dolphins. But remember that it’s the open ocean, and we can't guarantee what animal will decide to pass by 🙂

At Sataya Reef, scuba diving with dolphins is not permitted, so we'll snorkel with them after our dives at the reef.

We might, however, encounter dolphins if they decide to come closer to the dive site, or we might see them at other times if they decide to show up 🙂

This trip is designed for experienced divers with Advanced certification and a minimum of 30 logged dives. You should be comfortable with deeper dives, currents, drift diving and blue-water conditions. Some dives at Daedalus and Elphinstone can be challenging, so good buoyancy and confidence in the water are important.

Most nationalities need a tourist visa. Depending on your nationality, you may be able to obtain a visa on arrival or apply for an e-Visa in advance.

In June, the Red Sea is generally warm and comfortable for diving, with water temperatures typically around 26–28°C (79–82°F). Most divers will be comfortable in a 3–5 mm long wetsuit, depending on how easily you get cold. The air temperature can vary between 23°C and 36°C (73°F to 97°F).

Absolutely! You don't need to come with a buddy or a group. Many people join this trip solo, and you'll be part of a small group of like-minded divers. We'll help pair you with another buddy.
